Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitarist. She also plays music. She received the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first musician of Indian origin to present at and perform in the live ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is one of India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded around from London in the UK to New Delhi. Her debut concert was in New Delhi at the tender age of 13. In 1999, she completed her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Anouskha was only a teenager, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She is often seen performing with her dad and has performed with him for quite a number of years. Her debut solo album Anourag in 1998. Two years later she released the Grammy nominated album Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing in every major venue as well, she has a long stage career. Anoushka Shankar's professional life isn't limited to performing in music. In 2002, she wrote the book Bapi The Love of My Live this is an illustrated biography that is a honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. In addition, she has appeared in movies in 2003. She was in the movie Dance Like a Man where she is a young Bharat Natyam dancer. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she'll continue to accomplish many amazing things in the near future. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of traveling between London and Delhi in her early years. Then, she relocated to California for high school. Anoushka Shankar started her musical studies at the age of nine. A few years later she performed her appearance on the sitar in Delhi at her father's 75th birthday celebration. Her father traveled around the world with her and she also gained a variety of experiences. As she was in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall during Peter Gabriel's WOMAD Music Festival. As a tribute to her status as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
